Tommi Pg's illustrations, surreal and refined, are puzzling in the way that makes you want to return to them. The artwork by asylum seekers in Australian detention is disturbing, and demonstrates what Van Schilt writes in her editorial: 'art helps make sense of the personal and political messes we're all in – even if it's not a solution, it's a way to speak out.'
